{ Height Boost }

I rlly like Daiso. It’s filled wif things dat ranges from practical daily essentials, to goofy shit u don’t need, but didn’t realise u wanted. Most of the time, when I’m there to buy something I actly require, I’ll oso end up leaving wif something else I find amusing.

I rmb when everything there used to be strictly 2 dollars. Wat a time dat was, ye? But I think the removal of dat rule has its perks. Becos now there’s more variety in the types and quality of stuff they have.

So I was there the other day, fiddling around at the accessory section, when something caught my eye.

Hmmm, wats dis now… raised heel insoles? Dat adds about half an inch of height? (though actually, closer to a full inch)

Damn, I tot only celebrities wore these. I didn’t realise they were available for the common man.

Then I realised, wait a minute, I’m a vertically challenged dude myself. So I’m probably part of the target demographic these things were designed for.

As I’ve previously mentioned, I am a small man. Being about 164cm, I think my height is more akin to an average 14-year-old than a fully grown male.

Besides straining my neck having to look up all the time, the only real issue dis has caused me so far is dat shopping for clothes becomes a lil harder. S-sized clothes are too inconsistent and awkward in their fitting. It’d either be too tight or too long.

Thankfully, women exist. So I can just shop at their section instead…

But I was still intrigued by those supposed “height boosting” bad bois. U telling me dat they can just magically make me grow an inch or two? Does it really work?

So I let curiosity get the better of me and purchased them. Two pairs, in fact. Let’s see how it goes…

During my next day out, I decided to try them out. My shoes, which were a lil bulky by themselves, allowed me to easily insert one pair of those insoles. Not gonna lie, sliding them in felt rlly cool. It’s like my shoes were getting some kinda power-up.

When I wore them, I was pretty amused by how comfortable they were. They didn’t feel much different from wearing my shoes normally. But I did still feel the slight inclination in my heels. I am now like, 167cm. Hoo-hoo, look at me, just casually being tall. I felt like a Pokemon dat just evolved.

Then I thought, hmmm, why not go full on wif dis, yea? So I put the other pair of insoles in too.

Inserting two of those insoles made the shoes a lot tighter. My feet now had just enuf space to fit in them.

But I managed to wedge them in eventually. Then I stood up.

Goddamn, I felt rlly tall. Too tall. I was now about 170cm. Dats like, 5’7. Doesn’t sound like much, but I was wobbling around, feeling like dis:

On one hand, I felt like hot stuff wif dat height boost. Like some kinda 6ft tall, alpha, giga-chad, wif my vertical superiority.

But oso, as stated, I was too tall. Too tall for my own good. Dis is like, a version of me that shouldn’t exist. It was weirdly unsettling.

Vic is meant to be a short man. A regular sized Vic is a cursed concept. Not one dat I, or the world, is ready for. I wld like to revert back to smol Vic now, please.

Nonetheless, these insoles are a rlly cool concept. I didn’t realise dat wearing accessories cld come in the form of height manipulation as well. It’s rlly like high heels for dudes, except they dun make u suffer in pain while wearing them…

Maybe I’ll wear them sometimes, likely wif just one pair of insoles inserted, for when I wanna feel just slightly taller. Dat helps keep things interesting, enough for some personal shits and giggles…

Which means from now on, I will sometimes be an S-sized Vic, and sometimes an M-sized Vic.

Just like these tables, the S-sized Vic and M-sized Vic are actly the same length…
